Responsible for educational policies and programs to promote the total Christian formation of all in the parish. Parishioners are needed on the committees, the board and teams, and in the specific ways listed.
School of Religion Board - members set policy for teaching the faith to children in the School of Religion.
School Of Religion - religious education for children ages 3 1/2 to 12th grade:
- Teachers (Catechists) - share faith with our children and youth.
- Classroom Aides - offer support to the teachers.
- Substitute Teachers - are on call to teach when regular catechists are not available.
- Parent Helpers - give support to the program at home and in our office.
Adult Faith Formation - members plan and implement educational and faith enrichment opportunities for adults.
Rite Of Christian Initiation Of Adults (RCIA) - a process for non-Catholics to become Catholic.
- Team - members participate in weekly sessions or take responsibility for a particular area.
Sacrament Teams - help prepare families to celebrate the sacraments.
- Baptism Team - helps parents prepare for infant baptism
- First Eucharist and First Reconciliation Teams
- Catechists - work as part of teaching teams to prepare children for first sacraments.
- Aides - assist catechists during class sessions.
- Confirmation Retreat Team - assists with organizing and facilitating the retreat.
- Marriage Sponsoring Couples - work with engaged couples on an individualized basis.
