Ecumenical Christian organization builds or renovates houses in partnership with needy low-income families in Anne Arundel County. Sold with no profit and zero interest mortgage.
Bello Machre, Inc. ----- $879.28
Is a non-profit organization which provides loving care and creates opportunities for children and adults with development disabilities to live and work as independently as possible.
Catholic Relief Services ----- $2,342.68
Monies to help Catholic Relief Services staff provide food, clean water, shelter and more to those in El Salvador and India who have seen their lives absolutely devastated.
Christopher Place Employment Academy ----- $980.93
An employment academy with a residential component supporting addiction recovery. Maximum of 32 men participate at one time over a 12 month period.
Interfaith Housing of Western Maryland ----- $1,714.95
An organization of caring faith communities in the five counties of Western Maryland, whose objectives are to develop affordable housing for low- and moderate-income persons, create jobs and strengthen the region's economy.
Joseph Richey Hospice ----- $2,275.20
Provides 12 bed residential round the clock professional nursing, psychosocial, and spiritual care as well as home care for terminally ill cancer and AIDS patients in the Baltimore area.
Marian House ----- $980.94
A residential counseling and employment program for homeless women, providing personal and employment counseling to over 350 women and their families each year.
Mary's Pence -----$2,005.78
The mission is to recognize and support the work of Catholic women, both lay and religious, who minister to the economically poor throughout the Americas and who are without access to traditional sources of funding from government, church, or foundation sources.
Mercy Ships ----- $1,997.75
Christian ministry using hospital ships with volunteer crew. Children and adults receive free surgeries, prosthetics, dental, health education, builds and furnishes clinics and provides agriculture projects.
My Brother's Keeper ----- $925.23
In existence for 23 years, My Brother's Keeper serves the neighborhood of Irvington in southwest Baltimoreproviding food, clothing and social services to the homeless and working poor in this small community.
National Accociation of Catholic Diocesan Lesbian and Gay Ministeries ----- $500.00
Fosters ministry with lesbian and gay Catholics, their families and friends. Serves as a network of communication regarding Catholic lesbian and gay ministry. Provides educational resources and models of ministry.
Encourages the participation of lesbian and gay Catholics within the Church. Communicates with other Catholic organizations, especially the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).
Opportunity Builders, Inc. ----- $879.29
A non-profit organization that provides training and services to adults with developmental disabilities who live in Anne Arundel County and adjacent communities. The training is to help the adults function and pay their way in the community.
Our Lady of the Visitation, Haiti ----- $1,839.75
Our sister parish in the Diocese of Gonaives, Haiti.
Parish Twinning Program ----- $250.00
An organization that links parishes in the U.S. with those in Haiti. Facilitates communications between the parishes and coordinates the shipments of cargo containers of supplies.
Project PLASE ----- $2,032.68
Project PLASE (People Lacking Ample Shelter and Employment) began in 1973 to address and remedy the absence of services and resources available to Baltimore's most needy citizens.
Redemptorists' AIDS Ministry in Thailand ----- $750.00
Several projects to help women and children affected by HIV and AIDS. A home for healthy children whose parents have either abandoned them or had died from AIDS. A hospice program providing a safe and caring for children dying of AIDS. A training center for women affected by HIV or AIDS providing job training and where they can receive proper nutrition and medications.
Saint Gregory the Great Parish ----- $925.22
An inner city Baltimore parish where we participate in their Adopt-A-Family program each Christmas which served 1,600 families in 2002. The parish also has several outreach programs that help the needy in the area.
Sarah's House School Supply Drive ----- $2,271.22
Funds collected help defray school related costs, such as Weekly Reader subscriptions, field trip expenses, locks, school project supplies, gym uniforms, etc.
