The collection will help the two dioceses recover from the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Arundel Habitat for Humanity - $950.36 - September 2006
Ecumenical Christian organization builds or renovates houses in partnership with needy low-income families in Anne Arundel County. Sold with no profit and zero interest mortgage.

Interfaith Housing Alliance (Western Maryland) - $950.35 - September 2006
An organization of caring faith communities in the five counties of Western Maryland, whose objectives are to develop affordable housing for low- and moderate-income persons, create jobs and strengthen the region's economy.

Bello Machre, Inc. - $553.25 - October 2006
A non-profit organization which provides loving care and creates opportunities for children and adults with development disabilities to live and work as independently as possible.

Opportunity Builders Inc. - $553.25 - October 2006
A non-profit organization providing training and services to adults with developmental disabilities living in Anne Arundel County and adjacent communities. The training is to help the adults function and pay their way in the community.

The ARC of Anne Arundel County - $553.26 - October 2006
Serves over 450 people with mental retardation. Supported living, residential services, family services, respite, advocacy and volunteer opportunities.

Christopher Place Employment Academy - $1,051.91 - November 2006
Is an intensive, 18-month program designed to empower homeless men to change their lives. This is a program for men who are serious about changing their lives by committing to a course of intensive training in employment and life skills, educational enhancement, and building and maintaining a drug-free lifestyle.

Marian House - $1,051.91 - November 2006
A residential counseling and employment program for homeless women, providing personal and employment counseling to over 350 women and their families each year.

Our Lady of the Visitation, Gonaives, Haiti - $1,996.75 - December 2006
Our sister parish in the Diocese of Gonaives, Haiti.

Redemptorist AIDS Ministry - Thailand - $1,124.09 - January 2007
Several projects to help women and children affected by HIV and AIDS. A home for healthy children whose parents have either abandoned them or had died from AIDS. A hospice program providing a safe and caring for children dying of AIDS. A training center for women affected by HIV or AIDS providing job training and where they can receive proper nutrition and medications.

The Joseph Richey Hospice - $1,124.10 - January 2007
Provides 12 bed residential round the clock professional nursing, psychosocial, and spiritual care as well as home care for terminally ill cancer and AIDS patients in the Baltimore area.

St. Ignatius Loyola - $1,109.50 - February 2007
A high school celebrating its tenth anniversary in educating boys from the most challenged neighborhoods in Baltimore City, giving them the opportunity to become "Men for Others" in the Jesuit tradition and giving them an education that could change their lives.

Sisters Academy - $1,109.50 - February 2007
The Catholic middle school for girls opened its doors in September 2004. Sisters Academy is sponsored by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, the Religious Sisters of Mercy and the Sisters on Bon Secours. The academy is modeled on the national Nativity School movement, which focuses on providing high-quality, tuition-free, value-centered education in low-income communities.

Nazareth Housing - $1,040.95 - March 2007
Provides high quality housing and supportive services to the community of the Lower East Side of New York City. The organization has 13 units of safe and secure transitional housing. For a period of six to nine months, families receive intensive supportive services in their journey to self-sufficiency.

Partners in Care - $1,040.96 - March 2007
Partners in Care is a service credit exchange program designed to create community by linking frail elderly and disabled adults with neighbors who volunteer their time to help with occasional tasks and errands. The goal of these services is to help seniors and disabled adults remain independent in their own homes.

Julie Community Center - $1,063.38 - April 2007
Is a multi-purpose, non-profit community organization involved in advocacy, education, and organizing, with special dedication to the poor. Provides after school program, youth enrichment and summer camp program from children ages 6-12. Provides leadership workshops and public health projects for teens.

St. Ambrose Outreach Center (St. Vincent de Paul) - $1,063.38 - April 2007
Located in the Southern Park Heights community in Baltimore City, working with the community to improve the lives of low-income individuals, families, and children. Each year, the Center reaches more than 40,000 persons with a broad scope of services.

Salvadoran Enterprises for Women (SEW), Inc. - $993.77 - May 2007
Providing meaningful employment for women in El Salvador by building and managing the financial resources, community networks, solidarity efforts, and the U.S. and Salvadoran markets that facilitate new and help expand existing opportunities

The mission is to recognize and support the work of Catholic women, both lay and religious, who minister to the economically poor throughout the Americas and who are without access to traditional sources of funding from government, church, or foundation sources.

Catholic Relief Services (Darfur Sudan Emergency) - $3,027.06 - June 2007
Since 1943, in 94 countries, a leader in international relief and development, helping people in need, supporting self-help programs, restoring and preserving human dignity. CRS relief efforts across West Darfur are reaching at least 150,000 people in dire need.

The Benedictine Sisters of Baltimore, a community of monastic women who follow the Rule of Benedict. Through our prayer, Liturgy of the Hours, and a variety of ministries, we endeavor to bring the richness of a 1500 year tradition into today's world. Sharing a common life at Emmanuel Monastery we welcome all who seek God.

Camp St. Vincent - $250.00
Is a free summer day camp that hosts 625 children from low-income families each summer. Children age 6 to 10 are given the opportunity to share in a rare experience for urban area youth- the joys of two weeks at summer camp in the open space and fresh air of the countryside. The camp offers a structured outdoor recreation program that includes swimming instruction, arts and crafts, singing, drama, reading, games, sports, hiking, and other traditional camping activities. The children also participate in daily Values Development Lessons, which strive to boost self-esteem, teach the children to resist negative peer pressure.

Maryland Food Bank - $250.00
Distributes food donated from the food industry and food drives to food providers so these organizations can feed hungry Marylanders.

Moveable Feast - $100.00
Provides and delivers meals to individuals with HIV/AIDS and other life challenging illnesses; providing medical and homeless transportation services and employment opportunities.

Murphy Initiative for Justice and Peace - $100.00
The P. Francis Murphy Justice and Peace Initiative (PFMjpi) is envisioned as a common voice of member religious communities to work collaboratively for social justice and to support and supplement the ongoing justice and peace work within each community.

Project H.O.P.E. (He Opens Paths to Everyone) - $250.00
A Christian ministry to assist God's people without sufficient resources to provide for their own basic needs in Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City and the Appalachian region.

Parish Twinning Program - $250.00
An organization that links parishes in the U.S. with those in Haiti. Facilitates communications between the parishes and coordinates the shipments of cargo containers of supplies.

South Baltimore Emergency Relief, Inc. - $100.00
Since 1972, serves as the outstretched arm of the community businesses, organizations, churches, and individuals in meeting emergency needs of people seeking food, utility assistance, referrals and resources.
