Redemptorists' AIDS Ministry in Thailand
In 2001 the Justice and Peace Sharing Fund made a donation to the Redemptorists' AIDS Ministry in Thailand. Soon after our donation we received a thank you letter from Reverend Michael Shea, C.Ss.R, and some photos. In 2002 the Sharing Fund dedicated a monthly collection and in 2003 made a donation to the AIDS Ministry in Thailand.
Father Shea sends us regular updates on the progress of the AIDS Ministry and always includes some photos.
The AIDS Ministry consists of several projects to help women and children affected by HIV and AIDS. A home for healthy children whose parents have either abandoned them or have died from AIDS. A hospice program providing a safe and caring place for children dying of AIDS. A training center for women affected by HIV or AIDS providing job training and where they can receive proper nutritution and medications.
Below are links to the letters and photos we received from Father Shea and a link to the Redemptorists of the Denver Province where you can learn more about the AIDS Ministry in Thailand and other ministries.
