Called To Serve

Liturgical Ministries of St. Bernadette's Parish

Lectors

Lectors, or readers, take on the important ministry of proclaiming the Word of God from both the Old and New Testaments. Two lectors are scheduled for each mass, one for the 1st reading, and another for the 2nd.

If you're interested in serving as a lector, please contact our lector coordinator, Jeanne Hawn.

(coming soon)

Pastoral Visitors take Communion to those unable to join us for Mass due to illness or infirmity.

For more information, visit the Pastoral Visitors page

Altar Servers

Our parish altar servers assist clergy during our liturgical celebrations. Any person, after receiving their 1st Communion, is welcome to become one of our altar servers.

For more information regarding our altar servers, or if you or someone you know is interested in altar serving, please contact our server coordinator, Lisa Bell.

Ushers

Our parish ushers assist in coordinating multiple aspects of our parish liturgy. Ushers help parishioners and visitors find a seat within our worship space, and assist with collecting the offering. Ushers are also responsible for doing a "mass count" so that the number of mass attendees can be recorded for parish records. Any person who has received their 1st Communion is welcome to serve as one of our parish ushers.

If you have any questions regarding our usher ministry, or if you, or someone you know, is interested in becoming an usher, please contact the ministry's coordinator, Michael Vandereedt.

Safe Enviorment

Please know that all of our liturgical ministers, including musicians and choir members are required to be compliant with our Youth and Child Protection policies. For more information on youth and child protection, please click here.
